Our Crossroads

After the disaster

Posted by: mameta on: May 7, 2011

Hi,

Long time no see.  I didn’t feel like writing about something  for a while.

you may already heard of the unexpected disaster in my country.

After the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear plants’ accident….. we had to face the reality to survive in this world not only economically but also mentally.

Fortunately, many countries offer to help. I am really grateful for them.

I will post articles and/or essays  sometimes… I hope.

Thank goodness!

I’m so glad I found your blog just now. I wanted to see if you and your family were okay. How are you? I’m glad to see you’re still writing. I wish all the best for Japan and its people.

Hi sape101-san,

Long time no see! How have you been?
Thank you for the comment. I and my family are doing well, a part of my parents’ house was broken though. After the disaster, I think about my life and future of Japan more seriously. I’m grad if you keep up your interest in Japan.

Oh thank goodness!

Hello to you too, Mameta- “san?”

I am doing well. I very glad to hear that you and your family are safe. Oh man! How stressful, but that’s positive thinking. You are right! Disasters like the Tsunami do make people realize to value the more important things in life. Oh yes! I think Japan is a treasure to the world. So many interesting aspects to its land and culture. Well, I see you are still writing so I will read so of your latest entries.

SaPe~

Hi Sape,
(Japanese are likely to say “XXX-san” even if on the blog…please ignore “-san” style ;-) )

6 months has passed 6 months since that earthquake and tsunami hit Japan. I think we are still struggling to take back our life and stop the influence of radiation.

I resumed to study English again, so thank you for visiting this blog!

Mameta

Interesting!

Oh, I do not want to ignore learning about new customs. I’m glad you provided some insight on the use of the term “san.” I hope to use it if I return to Japan. Do I use “san” with everyone I don’t know?

Oh no! That is awful news! So, are people becoming sick from the radiation? Is Japan safe for you to still live there and for tourist to visit? That’s such a scary situation. I’m not sure what more to say. I just hope the tsunami trama disappears in the near future.
